Intergroup meeting reports

The purpose of Central Intergroup Office of the Desert is to assist AA groups and help start new AA groups.


August 2021

The out Reach chair at Central office would like to start a OcSoberFest Committee. as a fund raiser for Central Office. It will be held at The Palm Desert Amphitheater park. Anyone interested in being part of the committee, please  contact Alisa at Central office.

Our Gratitude dinner is tentatively being scheduled in April 2022. Stay tuned for more info.

The Southern California AA Convention is September 17th thru the 19th.

July 2021

Central Office their donations were low but are back up and are ok. Book of the month Large Print Big Book ($1.00 off). The meeting directory is being updated thanks to Sunny Dunes. Well in the Desert still meeting at 1p on Friday and needs support. Preamble has been changed and the formats have been updated. Thanked Michael C for replacing those in the file cabinet.


June 2021

There are 2 new paid positions at NY GSO available: 1. Is the grapevine publisher and 2. Class A trustee (non-alcoholic). Wellness in the Desert is homeless shelter needs people to bring meeting Friday a 1p. Contributions are down across the Valley.


May 2021

Recovery Centers:
The ABC club in Indio will reopen in June
The Ranch has reopened
Betty Ford has not reopened but is expected to open soon.

AA Groups:
Fellowship Hall in Palm Desert is re-open with the majority of the Face to Face meetings in Hybrid. Zoom meetings and Face to Face meetings only are also available. 
 D.Y.C.P.A.A.  has  meeting every Sunday at 7pm at Fellowship hall
Perez road re-opened

Central Office was unanimously granted funds from the Board Members to purchase equipment to have all its Committee meetings in Hybrid. In addition, Central office received a generous donation of $7000.00 in two donations of $3500.00 each.
